One of USA’s most popular casino resorts has been hacked.

Ontario-based Casino Rama has reported a breach in its database. The casino’s management has told on Thursday that customer, employee, and vendor data were compromised. There is already a risk that the stolen information could be used.

Hacker Accessed More than Personal Data

The Casino Rama Resort reports that the hacker has accessed financial reports, collection & debt information, patron credit inquiries, and payroll details that were stolen last week. Furthermore, the hacker has claimed employee data which includes social insurance number and information. These data is traced back to 2004-2007.

The breach is at least the second time this year that a casino that sits on aboriginal land has fallen victim to a hack, following a breach at the River Cree Resort and Casino in Alberta in March. Casino Rama says that there’s the hacker left no trail and evidence that it was still present inside its database systems. The popular USA casino resort is now working with the federal police and cyber security specialists to investigate the database breach.
